In a candid new interview with Howard Stern on The Howard Stern Show<\/em> (Sirius XM, Oct. 15), the Kiss of the Spider Woman<\/em> star revealed that despite her immense fame, she doesn\u2019t have many \u2014 or any \u2014 celebrity friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have a lot \u2014 any famous friends, really,\u201d Lopez admitted.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Stern expressed surprise \u2014 asking how someone with such a \u201cfabulous life\u201d could have so few famous friends \u2014 Lopez explained that her lifestyle is far more low-key than people imagine.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNo, not really,\u201d she said when asked if she attends Hollywood parties. \u201cI go out when I have to. I\u2019m more work, do my thing, rush home, get cozy\u2026 I don\u2019t know why. I just stay in my \u2014 I have a very small circle.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The 56-year-old artist described herself as someone who prefers quiet over constant socializing. \u201cI think I\u2019m shy and I don\u2019t like bothering people,\u201d she added. \u201cSo I don\u2019t connect with everybody, and I think they see me as standoffish.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Grounded by Family<\/span><\/h3>\n

While she may not spend her evenings mingling with other celebrities, Lopez said she has a strong foundation of support \u2014 starting with her family. Her sisters, Lynda and Leslie Ann Lopez, remain her closest confidantes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAmong my best friends are my sisters,\u201d she said, noting that those relationships have always kept her grounded amid her demanding career.<\/span><\/p>\n

Still, Lopez was quick to clarify that she does<\/em> know other stars \u2014 just not on a deeply personal level. She mentioned Jane Fonda, her Monster-in-Law<\/em> co-star from 2005, as one of the famous people she\u2019s friendly with.<\/span><\/p>\n
