Household bragging rights are officially on the line in Las Vegas. Blake Shelton<\/span><\/span><\/strong> has announced a new run of dates for his wildly successful Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace\u2014only to realize he\u2019ll be going head-to-head with none other than his wife, Gwen Stefani<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, whose highly anticipated No Doubt<\/span><\/span><\/strong> residency at the Sphere is happening just a mile down the Strip.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shelton revealed the friendly-but-not-really competition in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE ahead of kicking off his residency earlier this month. \u201cThat\u2019ll be interesting because I\u2019ll be in direct competition with my wife,\u201d he joked. \u201cI\u2019m excited about that because I know there\u2019ll be probably a little bit of trash talking.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The setup alone almost guarantees playful chaos at home. While Stefani and No Doubt are set to command the ultra-modern Sphere\u2014capable of hosting roughly 20,000 fans per night\u2014Shelton will be performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, an intentionally intimate venue with a capacity just over 4,000. Shelton is well aware of the imbalance and isn\u2019t pretending otherwise.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhether we both sell out, there\u2019s a big difference in selling out the Sphere and selling out Caesars, so she\u2019ll have that over my head,\u201d he admitted with a sigh, quickly clarifying that this is not exactly a \u201cfriendly competition.\u201d Laughing, Shelton added, \u201cYeah, it\u2019s not very friendly when it\u2019s absolute ass-kicking.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the tongue-in-cheek rivalry, the couple is careful to keep perspective. Rather than fighting over ticket buyers, Shelton frames the overlap as another surreal chapter in their shared career story\u2014two massive artists, in two different genres, dominating the same city at the same time. Few couples in music history could even find themselves in that position.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fans hoping for a Valentine\u2019s Day showdown, however, won\u2019t get one. Shelton and Stefani will be together on February 14, headlining the 2026 Endymion Extravaganza in New Orleans. Shelton was quick to spin that into a characteristically dry romantic gesture. \u201cOh my God, I am so romantic. It\u2019s unbelievable,\u201d he deadpanned. \u201cI booked a date for Gwen and me in New Orleans\u2026 a booking is a booking, and it is a date technically. Technically.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Shelton\u2019s Caesars Palace performances continue January 30 and 31, with newly announced shows scheduled for May 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 21, and 24, 2026. Presales begin Monday, February 2, with general tickets going on sale at 1 p.m. on February 6.<\/span><\/p>\n
