\u201cIn 2026, as we celebrate 250 years since our founding fathers recognized the right to life in our Declaration of Independence, I want to thank every single one of you who is out on this winter day\u2026 to stand up for the unborn,\u201d Trump said. He reminded the crowd that six years earlier he became the first sitting president to attend the March for Life in person\u2014an appearance that marked a turning point in the movement\u2019s relationship with the White House.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump pointed to the Supreme Court\u2019s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, which overturned Roe v. The president also highlighted policies his administration says are designed to support families and children. He cited efforts to defend religious liberty, end taxpayer funding for abortion domestically and abroad, and expand faith-based adoption and foster care programs. Trump additionally referenced a new initiative providing a $1,000 government-backed investment account for every newborn American born between 2025 and 2028, describing it as a way to support parents and give children a financial foundation from birth.<\/span><\/p>\n
