Applying that analogy to political activism, Gutfeld questioned whether families could pursue legal action if a relative were injured or killed after being encouraged by anti-ICE or extremist groups to obstruct law enforcement.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThese groups are legal entities,\u201d he said. \u201cThey can be held liable \u2014 including for negligence or wrongful death.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Gutfeld, the motivation behind such confrontations is not public service but funding and visibility.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t just activism,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s \u2018get the confrontation on camera so we stay funded.\u2019 And when the performance turns lethal, everyone suddenly acts shocked that poking the bear ends badly \u2014 and not for the bear.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
