Taylor Swift plans to stick around for far longer than a fortnight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ahead of her six-part docuseries, which will premiere on Disney+ Dec. 12, the Grammy winner joined Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. She discussed some of the criticisms she faces in her career, though with a key caveat. “I try really hard,” she noted during the Dec. 10 episode, “not to do the like, ‘Oh my God, there\u2019s no one who can relate to what I\u2019m going through.’ Like nobody wants to hear that, I don\u2019t want to hear that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

She is, however, aware of the some of the noise surrounding her longevity. “I think there are certain corners of our society that really love and look up to longevity,” she began. “There\u2019s also corners that are like, \u2018Give someone else a turn. Can\u2019t you just go away so we can talk about how good you were?'” Her simple, four-word response to those wanting her to retreat? “I don\u2019t want to.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Thankfully, Taylor said she has a number of confidants in her life that help her navigate the ups and downs of fame. Among them, she shared, are Fleetwood Mac\u2019s Stevie Nicks, her producer Max Martin and, of course, fianc\u00e9 Travis Kelce. Of the latter, she told Stephen, “I can talk to him about any of this.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Plus, Travis was by her side as Taylor\u2019s longtime efforts towards buying back her masters finally came to fruition earlier this year. “Getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back,” she said during her late night appearance, “both of those things could have just never arrived in my life. And I\u2019m so grateful.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Taylor and Travis\u2019 relationship and their support of one another are both sure to be on display in Taylor’s upcoming Eras Tour-themed docuseries, Taylor Swift The End of an Era<\/b>. After all, their romance began thanks to her Eras Tour and they haven’t looked back since, with an engagement this past August.<\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, while Taylor may never have expected to meet her perfect match in such a fashion, the NFL player\u2019s failed attempt to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her Kansas City tour stop\u2014and then publicly lamenting his failure on his New Heights<\/i> podcast\u2014is what ultimately led to their future together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Travis’ initial plan didn’t work out, the NFL star’s public proclamation of his desire to meet her is what made Taylor decide to give him a chance. “This kind of felt more like I was in an ’80s John Hughes movie and he was just like standing outside of my window with a boom box just being like, \u2018I want to date you. Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship. Do you want to date me?'” she previously said. “I was like, if this guy isn’t crazy\u2014which is a big if\u2014this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
