Actor Kelsey Grammer, best known for his roles in Cheers<\/i> and Frasier<\/i>, offered high praise for President Donald Trump over the weekend. While attending the Kennedy Center Honors events in Washington D.C., Grammer called the current commander-in-chief “one of the greatest presidents we’ve ever had.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Maybe the greatest,” the star added, speaking to Fox News ahead of the State Department Kennedy Center Honors medal presentation dinner on Saturday. Grammer reiterated his strong support, saying, “I think he’s extraordinary.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The actor acknowledged the challenges the president faced. “There was a big hill to climb,” he continued, noting, “We were left with some very interesting things going on.” Grammer also expressed admiration for the President’s ongoing drive. “There are some things he still wants to get done, and I think that’s terrific,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Honoring American Arts and Culture<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Grammer was “over the moon” that legendary actor Sylvester Stallone was being honored at this year’s ceremony. “I was on the selection committee, so I knew about it,” he revealed. He described Stallone as “a force of nature.” The X-Men: The Last Stand<\/i> actor felt it was “about time” Stallone was recognized for his career. Stallone “has captured our imagination in several different roles and performed them beautifully,” Grammer stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

The recipients of this year\u2019s Kennedy Center Honors medals, which were newly designed and donated by Tiffany & Co., also included singer George Strait, singer Gloria Gaynor, actor Michael Crawford, and the members of the KISS rock band.<\/span><\/p>\n

Country music star George Strait shared his appreciation on the red carpet, telling Fox News it was “a great honor” to be recognized by the Kennedy Center Honors.<\/span><\/p>\n

The official ceremony took place on Saturday in the Oval Office, where President Trump awarded each 2025 Kennedy Center honoree with their Tiffany medal. The President commended the honorees, calling them “incredible people” who represent the “very best in American arts and culture.”<\/span><\/p>\n

According to an Associated Press report, President Trump said, “I know most of them, and I’ve been a fan of all of them.” He concluded by hailing the group’s legacy. “This is a group of icons whose work and accomplishments have inspired, uplifted and unified millions and millions of Americans,” President Trump remarked.
