Sabrina Carpenter staged another playful \u201carrest\u201d during her run of \u201cShort n’ Sweet Tour\u201d shows at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena this week. On Thursday (Nov. 20), the \u201cEspresso\u201d singer brought out her signature pink fuzzy handcuffs, this time for R&B star SZA, joking that the artist was \u201ctoo hot.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The interaction began when Carpenter spotted the <\/span>SOS<\/span><\/i> songstress in the audience. \u201cSZA?\u201d Carpenter called out. She immediately followed with a lighthearted jab, \u201cI’ve got some competition, s**t,\u201d which SZA quickly moved to dismiss. \u201cNo? OK, listen, where are you from?\u201d the pop star asked the Grammy-winner. A huge roar erupted from the crowd when SZA replied with her home state, New Jersey.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey don’t always scream for other cities, so I love that,\u201d Carpenter acknowledged. The playful exchange continued as Carpenter brought up the concept of \u201ccuffing season.\u201d She noted SZA was \u201cgetting really flustered,\u201d and quipped, \u201cOh s**t, SOS, for real.\u201d Following the banter, the <\/span>Man’s Best Friend<\/span><\/i> artist dedicated a live performance of her song \u201cJuno\u201d to the Top Dawg Entertainment powerhouse.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The ‘Short n’ Sweet’ Tradition<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201carrests\u201d have become a beloved feature of the tour. Just a few days earlier, on Monday (Nov. 17), Carpenter brought out the handcuffs for sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning. The list of lovely ladies taken into custody across the tour is growing, including A-listers like Gigi Hadid, Millie Bobby Brown, Nicole Kidman, Ayo Edebiri, and Clairo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Album and Tour Success<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Carpenter is supporting her latest album, <\/span>Man’s Best Friend<\/span><\/i> , which was released in August. The LP arrived with the chart-topping hits \u201cManchild\u201d and \u201cDon’t Worry I’ll Make You Worry.\u201d The latter track received high praise from rapper Nicki Minaj shortly after the album’s debut.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
