Trump Calls Savannah Guthrie as Search for Her Missing Mother Intensifies

President Donald Trump personally reached out to Savannah Guthrie this week as the search for her missing mother enters a critical and deeply concerning phase. The call comes amid mounting fears and unanswered questions surrounding the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie from her Arizona home.

A White House official confirmed to Fox News Digital on Wednesday that President Trump spoke directly with Guthrie. While no further details about the content of the call were disclosed, the outreach followed Trump’s public comments a day earlier, when he described the situation as “terrible” and offered additional federal assistance if necessary.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen late Saturday evening at her residence in Tucson, Arizona. According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, she was last spotted around 9:30 p.m. local time. What initially began as a missing-person case has since escalated into something more troubling, as investigators confirmed that evidence suggests criminal activity.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated earlier this week that authorities “do, in fact, have a crime,” though he declined to elaborate on specific details. Law enforcement sources have revealed that blood drops were found leading from the home’s entryway toward the driveway, heightening concerns about what may have occurred. Despite the alarming discovery, officials have stressed that no suspect or person of interest has been identified at this time.

“Detectives continue to speak with anyone who may have had contact with Mrs. Guthrie,” Nanos said in a Wednesday update. He emphasized that investigators are working closely with the Guthrie family and urged the public to refrain from spreading rumors or unverified accusations online, warning that misinformation could compromise the investigation.

Trump’s decision to personally call Guthrie has drawn attention given the pair’s strained on-air history during the 2020 election cycle, when Guthrie moderated a town hall with the president on Today. That event featured several tense exchanges and sharp criticism. Nevertheless, Trump downplayed the past friction, telling reporters from the White House, “I always got along very good with Savannah.”

As the search continues, Guthrie has leaned heavily on her faith and the support of the public. In an emotional Instagram post, she asked followers to join her family in prayer, describing her mother as “a woman of deep conviction” and “a good and faithful servant.” She urged supporters to raise their voices “in love, in hope, and in belief” as the family waits for answers.

With each passing day increasing the urgency, authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing, as family members and a nationwide audience hold onto hope for Nancy Guthrie’s safe return.
