Snoop Dogg may be a global music icon, but at home, there’s someone else stealing the spotlight — Martha Stewart, affectionately known in his family as “Auntie Martha.”
In a recent lighthearted interview, Snoop revealed that his grandchildren have developed a serious soft spot for his longtime friend and cooking partner.
“They call her the real OG,” Snoop said with a laugh. “I walked in and saw my grandbabies crowded around Martha like she was the queen of the kitchen. They were eating her cookies, telling her she’s cooler than me. I was like, ‘Hold up — I taught y’all swag!’”
Cookies Over Hip-Hop?
The hilarious moment, captured in now-viral photos shared by Stewart, shows Snoop’s grandkids dusted in flour, eagerly waiting by the oven as Martha pulls out a tray of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Meanwhile, Snoop stands in the background wearing a mock-offended expression that fans couldn’t get enough of.
“She got them with the sugar,” he joked. “I can’t compete with that. I bring beats — she brings treats.”
A Friendship That Became Family
What started as an unexpected pairing during a guest appearance on The Martha Stewart Show nearly two decades ago has grown into one of pop culture’s favorite friendships. Their chemistry on the hit series Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party proved what fans already believed: their bond is genuine, hilarious, and full of heart.
“Martha’s like family,” Snoop added. “She’s classy, she’s funny, and she’s got more street cred than people think. My grandkids adore her — and honestly, I do too.”
Fans Can’t Get Enough
Social media lit up with reactions to the story and photos:
-
“Martha and Snoop are the ultimate duo — that’s real friendship goals.”
-
“When Martha Stewart outranks Snoop Dogg in swag points, you know it’s serious.”
-
“Somebody make a children’s book called Auntie Martha and Uncle Snoop!”
When asked if he minds sharing the spotlight with Stewart, Snoop grinned.
“You don’t mess with Auntie Martha,” he said. “Besides, if the grandkids are happy and there are cookies, I’m good.”
And from the looks of the flour-covered smiles — and Snoop’s crumb-covered grin — it’s safe to say that in their world, music and cookies make the perfect family recipe.
