Even global superstars have moments where they turn into fans — just ask Billie Eilish.
During a recent stop in Detroit, the Grammy-winning artist received an unexpected delivery from Eminem’s famed restaurant Mom’s Spaghetti, and the moment left her completely stunned. The gift arrived with a handwritten note signed in classic Marshall Mathers style: “Don’t lose your lunch — Slim.”
“I screamed when I saw the spaghetti,” Billie laughed during a backstage interview. “It showed up with this little note that said, ‘Don’t lose your lunch — Slim.’ I just froze. It was signed Slim!”
A Legendary Nod — From One Icon to Another
The note was a playful twist on one of Eminem’s most iconic lyrics from Lose Yourself: “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti…”
That famous line inspired Eminem to open Mom’s Spaghetti in Detroit in 2021 — and receiving a delivery from the rapper’s own restaurant felt like a surreal full-circle moment for Eilish.
“I’ve looked up to him forever — he’s one of the greatest lyricists alive,” she said. “I didn’t even know he knew who I was! The fact that he sent me food from his restaurant, with that note… it was the most Eminem thing ever.”
Too Starstruck to Eat — Almost
Billie admitted she hesitated before digging in.
“I just stared at it like, ‘This can’t be real.’ It was surreal. And then, yeah… I ate it. It was actually really good.”
Fans quickly lit up social media, calling it “the most Eminem gift imaginable.” One fan even joked online: “If Billie and Eminem ever collab, they better name the track Mom’s Confetti.”
A Moment of Mutual Respect
While there’s no official collaboration on the horizon — yet — the moment left a lasting impression on Eilish.
“When someone like Eminem reaches out, it’s not just a flex — it’s an honor,” she said.
As for the handwritten note? Billie isn’t letting that slip away.
“It’s framed,” she confirmed with a grin. “That’s not going anywhere.”
What started as a simple takeout delivery became an unforgettable moment — a reminder that even the biggest names in music still have heroes… and sometimes those heroes send spaghetti.
