Blake Shelton Kicks Off Vegas Residency — and Fans Are Watching for Gwen Stefani

Blake Shelton is officially back under the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip. The country superstar has launched his second Live in Las Vegas residency at the The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and while the music is front and center, fans are just as focused on one lingering question: will his wife, Gwen Stefani, be in attendance?

After a successful first run earlier this year, Shelton’s return feels bigger—and more closely watched. The residency dates (January 15, 18, 21, 23, 24, 28, 30, and 31) promise a hit-packed setlist built around his long list of No. 1 singles, new material from For Recreational Use Only, and classic country covers that nod to his roots. But as Shelton and Stefani have kept a lower public profile recently, fans have taken to social media to speculate whether the pop icon will show up in Vegas to support him.

One fan wrote on X, “Please greet me at the door of Ole Red… And have Gwen come out and sing with you at the Colosseum (great time to introduce ‘Holding On’!).” Another commented bluntly on Shelton’s Instagram, “Bring your wife Gwen your last show.” The requests underscore how closely fans associate Shelton’s current era with Stefani’s presence—both onstage and off.

That curiosity arrives amid Shelton’s growing frustration with online rumors about his marriage. In a January 10 interview with Country Countdown USA, the 49-year-old addressed persistent divorce speculation with a mix of humor and skepticism. He explained that headlines began circulating in the fall claiming he and Stefani were splitting, only for the narrative to flip days later when paparazzi photos surfaced.

“A week later a picture comes out of us walking out of the grocery store: ‘Oh, they’re back together again,’” Shelton said, laughing. He also pointed to how convincing manipulated images have become online, noting that even he sometimes has to look twice before spotting details that don’t add up.

Away from the rumor mill, Shelton has plenty of real-world wins to celebrate. Just days before opening night in Vegas, he scored the 31st No. 1 hit of his career on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with “Stay Country or Die Tryin’,” further cementing his status as one of modern country’s most consistent hitmakers.

Whether Stefani makes a surprise appearance or not, Shelton’s Vegas residency is shaping up as a victory lap—one fueled by chart success, fan loyalty, and a catalog built for big rooms. Still, for many in the audience, an empty seat or a surprise cameo might say almost as much as the music itself.
