Taylor Swift Embraces ‘Auntie Era’ With Sweet Moment at Chiefs Game

Taylor Swift, celebrating just one day after her 36th birthday, was seen in a heartwarming moment with the daughters of Jason and Kylie Kelce while cheering on her fiancé, Travis Kelce, at Arrowhead Stadium on December 14. The Kansas City Chiefs were facing the Los Angeles Chargers, but all eyes were on the VIP suite.

In fan footage quickly shared on TikTok, the “The Fate of Ophelia” singer can be seen lifting and holding one of Jason and Kylie’s daughters. With Kylie—who is mom to Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 9 months—standing nearby, Taylor appeared to be getting an early, hands-on taste of her future “auntie” duties within the Kelce family.

Cats and “Poison”: Taylor Bonds with Nieces

This recent game-day bonding is not the first time Taylor has spent time with the Kelce girls. The Grammy winner recently shared a humorous anecdote about introducing the toddlers to her famous cats: Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button. The children, she explained, had been told by their former Eagles-player father that the cuddly pets were “poisonous.”

“It was actually really a great challenge, because as soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren’t poisonous,” Taylor shared during the August 13 episode of the New Heights podcast. She explained that the best way to prove her point was to “just hand them Benjamin, my rag-doll cat who lets humans hold him like he’s a baby.”

The “Red” artist detailed the encounter, noting, “The cats are so good with kids. They’re just like, ‘Meredith is here.’ I’m like, ‘Yup and you know what, she didn’t bite you at all, did she? And if she did bite you, she wouldn’t be poisonous.’ They’re like, ‘That’s not what our dad said.’”

The Kelce Clan Gushes Over Relationship

The strength of Taylor’s bond with the entire Kelce family is well-documented. Following the release of the viral podcast episode, Travis’s parents couldn’t help but praise the connection between the Chiefs tight end and his future daughter-in-law.

Mom Donna Kelce told People at the August 24 screening of ESPN’s The Kingdom that the interaction was “authentic, which was just something that I think everyone was thrilled to see.” She added that it was “very loving.”

Travis’s father, Ed Kelce, echoed her positive sentiments in a separate interview that same day. “It was great to see them go back and forth,” Ed told People. “They’re two people obviously very much in love.”
