Swift’s late-night stop is part of a monumental week for the star as she prepares to cap off a career-defining chapter. The highly-anticipated six-episode docuseries, The End of an Era, alongside the concert film, The Eras Tour: The Final Show, are both scheduled to debut on Disney+ at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Friday, December 12.
The Late-Night Blitz Continues
Swift’s appearance on Colbert is the culmination of a promotional blitz following the October release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which became the fastest-selling album in history. In the months leading up to the documentary release, Swift made a rare series of talk show appearances, including stops on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and the UK’s The Graham Norton Show.

According to Disney+, the six-part series will feature intimate footage and commentary from those closest to Swift, including her mother, Andrea Swift. Guest appearances are also expected to include fellow performers and friends such as Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch, and Sabrina Carpenter, who duets with Swift on the title track of The Life of a Showgirl.
Releasing in tandem with the docuseries is the concert film The Eras Tour: The Final Show. Unlike the 2023 theatrical release of the concert film, this updated version was recorded during the final show in Vancouver and features the full setlist, including songs from Swift’s 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was added to the tour mid-run.
