James Woods Demands Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey Be Jailed for Refusing to Cooperate with ICE

Legendary actor James Woods tore into left-wing Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey after the mayor publicly declared his refusal to cooperate with federal immigration officials. With the Department of Homeland Security turning its attention to the Twin Cities area for immigration enforcement actions, Democrat Mayor Frey held a press conference during which he boldly announced that his city government would not lend any aid to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

Mayor Frey not only stated his support for the city’s Somali community over federal immigration law enforcement, but he even spoke in the Somali language during his address. The city is proud to be home to the largest Somali community in the entire country, which Frey praised, saying, “They benefit both the culture and the economic resilience of our city.” This was not the first time Frey had spoken in a broken version of Somali, as he had also delivered a portion of his re-election victory speech in the language last month.

Woods quickly blasted Frey for his non-cooperation stance with ICE. In a post to X, the staunchly conservative actor suggested officials should, “Throw his traitor ass in the clink then.”

At the press conference, Mayor Frey also offered illegal migrants advice on how to handle an encounter with an ICE officer, citing common immigrant rights information. According to the immigrant website Shahan Journal, Frey advised, “You have the right to remain silent and you have the right to a lawyer.” He added that they can “refuse to sign documents until that lawyer is present” and “not open the door unless a warrant has been shown.”

For his part, Woods has consistently criticized opponents of America’s immigration laws. In October, for instance, he ridiculed “mentally ill Democrats” who participated in a “nude die-in” protest against ICE in Portland. Further demonstrating his strong stance, Woods demanded in June that California’s far-left Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom resign for allegedly pandering to rioters who burned down parts of L.A. in opposition to ICE.
