Dakota Fanning, the seasoned actress known for her roles since childhood, recently offered a glimpse into her impressive collection of career mementos. The 31-year-old star of the upcoming film All Her Fault shared her treasured keepsakes during an interview with Deadline for their “Take Ten” series.
When asked about props she has held onto from her many memorable films, Fanning revealed one particularly heartwarming item. “I have the Creasy bear from Man on Fire ,” she stated, referring to the teddy bear named after Denzel Washington’s character in the 2004 thriller. “They gave that to me at the end.”
Her collection extends beyond that significant prop. From the 2001 drama I Am Sam , Fanning still possesses a small shirt she wears often on screen. She also has the iconic yellow dress worn by her character Fern in the fair scene of the 2006 film Charlotte’s Web . “I have a lot of good, important stuff,” she noted about her archival pieces.
There is one item, however, whose location remains slightly uncertain. “That tutu from Uptown Girls ,” she mused. “I don’t know if I have that. It could be in storage. I wish I had that, if I don’t, but I might.”
Discussing her most memorable costars, Fanning recalled her time on the set of Charlotte’s Web with a laugh. “I worked with a lot of pigs and cows and sheep and geese. That was memorable,” she quipped.
Fanning also addressed her approach to working with younger actors, drawing on her own experience as a child star who began her career at age seven. She spoke exclusively to PEOPLE at the New York City premiere of her Peacock series on November 3rd. The tense thriller about an abducted child features Succession ’s Sarah Snook, alongside Jake Lacy, Abby Elliott, Sophia Lillis, and Michael Peña.
Opening up about her set etiquette, Fanning explained her philosophy regarding her younger colleagues. “I sort of just treat them how I would treat any other actor,” she shared. “I think that’s what I appreciated when I was younger, so I just kind of go with that.”
