🤣 50 Cent Leans Into the Joke as Vivica A. Fox Clarifies Her ‘Don’t Date Rappers’ Advice

Rapper and TV mogul 50 Cent is embracing the humor surrounding his brief but long-discussed romance with actress Vivica A. Fox, following her recent remarks about dating advice.

Fox, who recently advised a crowd at the Chicago Ultimate Women’s Expo, “Don’t date 50 Cent and don’t date no damn rappers!,” clarified her comments to TMZ on Monday. She explained that the initial remark was based solely on her own “personal experience” and should be taken as friendly advice to “the girlies.”

The actress noted that while women should date whoever they choose, she cautioned against going public too quickly, suggesting they should “just have fun.” Fox also candidly admitted that it took her “years to be able to laugh about” her whirlwind 2003 relationship with 50 Cent, which ended in a messy public feud lasting years.

The Matrix Gag Continues

Never one to miss a social media moment, 50 Cent (born Curtis Jackson) took to Instagram with a pair of playful responses, continuing an earlier Matrix-themed joke.

Days before, 50 had responded to Fox’s original warning by posting an AI-generated photo of himself as Morpheus from The Matrix, captioned: “Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix. You know I love me some you, girl. But damn it’s been 22 years Vivica.” Fox had previously laughed off that post, telling TMZ the joke was “fantastic” and that she’d “take the blue pill.”

Leaning into her “blue pill” comment, 50’s first follow-up post featured an image of a blue pill stamped with a smiley face, along with the caption: “What, 😳 I don’t know what happened 👀 see that’s your problem you think you know everything. LOL @bransoncognac.”

He followed up with a video clip referencing Fox’s TMZ interview as she walked down a New York sidewalk. The rapper captioned the post: “You ain’t gonna believe this man, but she tried to turn me out 😔 I just got on 👀 LOL @50centaction.”

Despite the years of public mudslinging that followed their breakup, both Fox and 50 Cent appear to be enjoying the current, lighthearted public banter over their history.
