The long-anticipated return of the acclaimed spy drama The Night Manager is fast approaching, and its stars, Tom Hiddleston and new cast member Camila Morrone, are setting the screen alight—and the magazine pages too. The pair recently graced a glamorous photoshoot for Vogue, marking the series’ relaunch almost a decade after its initial success.

The photoshoot captures the striking chemistry of the show’s leads. Tom Hiddleston, 44, who reprises his Golden Globe-winning role as former British intelligence operative Jonathan Pine, embodies classic sophistication in a double-breasted blazer. Meanwhile, Camila Morrone, 28, who joins the series as a new love interest, stuns in high-fashion looks, including a red mesh floor-length dress and a plunging pink lace dress paired with a fur coat.

They are joined by new co-star Diego Calva, 33, who is set to play the new antagonist, Colombian businessman and arms dealer Teddy Dos Santos. Calva, widely known for his Golden Globe-nominated role as Manny Torres in the 2022 film Babylon and his work as Arturo Beltrán Leyva in the series Narcos: Mexico, looks striking in a long black coat and turtleneck, hinting at the high-stakes drama to come.
🎭 Cast Returns and Notable Newcomers
The six-part second series sees Tom Hiddleston’s character, now living under the alias Alex Goodwin, pulled back into the world of espionage following a violent encounter with Dos Santos. The original series, based on the novel of the same name by legendary writer John le Carré, captivated audiences with its sharp plotting and lavish settings, winning three Golden Globe Awards, including one for Hiddleston, and two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Academy Award winner Olivia Colman, 51, is confirmed to return as intelligence chief Angela Burr, the character who originally recruited Pine. Colman’s portrayal of the pregnant intelligence officer in Season 1 earned her a BAFTA nomination, cementing her status as a powerhouse actress known for acclaimed roles like Queen Anne in The Favourite (for which she won an Oscar).
Camila Morrone steps into a main role as Roxana Bolaños, a businesswoman who reluctantly aids Pine in infiltrating Dos Santos’s operation. Morrone, whose breakout role was as Camila Alvarez-Dunne in the 2023 limited series Daisy Jones & the Six (which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination), revealed she was a major fan of the original series, confessing, “I’m supposed to be doing my lines and instead I’m binge-watching all six episodes, which ended up paying off in the long run.”
📖 Expanding the World of Le Carré
The new series is confirmed to expand the narrative beyond the original 1993 source material by John le Carré, offering a fresh, darker, and faster-paced plot. The official synopsis teases “betrayal at every turn” as Pine finds himself in Colombia, navigating an arms operation and the training of a guerrilla army—a conspiracy “designed to destabilise a nation.”
The trailer opens with a chilling interrogation, where Pine is challenged: “Tell me who you really are.” His reply, “I am the man who will not explode,” underscores the explosive action, including high-speed chases and international intrigue, expected to define the much-anticipated new season.
The series will premiere on the BBC and BBC iPlayer in the UK on January 1, 2026, followed by a worldwide release on Prime Video on January 11, 2026.
