“Let’s see what Adam does in this luxurious home!”: Adam Lambert’s new $10.5 million Tribeca home boasts 973 square feet of private terrace space and its own elevator

Global rock star Adam Lambert has made a stunning move into New York City real estate, securing a luxurious duplex penthouse in the heart of Tribeca for a reported $10.5 million. The lavish apartment, a reflection of the star’s considerable wealth and class, provides a magnificent base for his highly anticipated Broadway debut as the Emcee in the revival of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club.

Lambert began his limited engagement in the classic John Kander and Fred Ebb musical, taking over the role originated by Eddie Redmayne, on September 16, 2024, and is scheduled to perform through March 30, 2025, at the August Wilson Theatre. The purchase of this Gilded Age architectural gem solidifies his temporary residence in the city for the duration of his run in the critically acclaimed show.

Architectural Royalty: The Home’s Storied Origins

The residence is located within 108 Leonard Street, a landmarked building that represents the first residential condo conversion of a McKim, Mead & White Beaux-Arts masterpiece. The architectural firm, McKim, Mead & White, is synonymous with the American Gilded Age, renowned for designing iconic structures across the nation, including:

  • The original Pennsylvania Station (a design whose demolition became a catalyst for the historic preservation movement).
  • Columbia University’s Low Library.
  • The Boston Public Library.
  • A renovation of the White House.

Restored by Jeffrey Beers International, the building marries Gilded Age grandeur with modern opulence.

A Penthouse Defined by Private Outdoor Space

Lambert’s duplex, which was initially listed for $12 million in 2023, spans the 15th and 16th floors. Its most extraordinary feature is the 973 square feet of private terrace space—a significant rarity in Manhattan real estate. This outdoor space is segmented into a quartet of terraces, all connected by a private elevator and featuring classic sandstone balusters.

Inside, the home totals a roomy 2,910 square feet and boasts high ceilings and a sophisticated layout:

  • The Main Floor: Includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a powder room, a chef’s kitchen with custom oak cabinets and marble countertops, and a great room featuring floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to one of the terraces, offering stunning city views.
  • The Upper Level: Dedicated entirely to the primary bedroom suite, featuring two large walk-in closets, a sitting area, an ensuite spa-like bath, and its own private terrace.

The landmarked building is known for its exclusive resident list, which has included past and present notables such as Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Hugh Jackman, music mogul Clive Davis, and fashion designer Christian Siriano. Amenities within the building further cater to a high-end lifestyle, offering a gym, a resident lounge, and a children’s playroom.

Adam Lambert’s Tribeca apartment is more than just a home; it is a meticulously crafted, historically significant sanctuary befitting a global music icon as he takes center stage on Broadway.
